POST AVE BRIDGE REPLACEMENT

Fourteen soil nails were required to ensure stability of the existing abutment with the new imposed loadings from the bridge and the addition of new third train track. Soil nails were also required at the east end of the abutment to stabilize the existing retaining wall prior to the construction of the new wall. The soil nails also provide permanent support to the new wall. Performed special inspections during soil nail installations and observed during stressing of soil anchors.
