Founded by Alvin P. Tabar, P.E., whose progressive hands-on design experience spans over three decades on projects across the globe, Ai-Alt has worked on projects from prominent clients alongside Alvin's former employers, former colleagues and newly formed partnerships.

Alvin believes that advanced technologies will always play major roles in the practice of engineering. When training was hard to come by, he immersed himself into learning LISP programming language on his own and applied it in his work when he was just in his early twenties and helped him land a job in Hong Kong, where his formative years in high-rise building design began. Today, with the recent advancement in applicable engineering design technologies and visual programming languages, those fundamental LISP programming knowledge coupled with his over three decades of progressive hands-on building design experience is what makes "Ai-Alt" exceptional. Young computer-savvy engineers may have the skillsets to deal with the demands of digital computational design in this day and age but they normally lack the real life experience in dealing with project complexities. Similarly, engineers with decades long of experience may struggle to adapt to today's engineering design environment - definitely not the case at "Ai-Alt".
